Budget Advisory Task Force

Since the 2022-23 school year, Arlington School District’s Budget Advisory Task Force (BATF) has provided input on the district’s budget and finances. Like many school districts in recent years, Arlington has been challenged by lower revenue and increasing costs which impact schools.

“Enrollment has recovered more slowly than we had hoped following the pandemic which means less money from the state,” said Executive Director of Finance Gina Zeutenhorst. “This coupled with increasing costs for staffing and goods and services has had an impact on the district’s finances. We need to make sure that the school district continues to be financially solvent and the BATF helps us do that.”

This year, the BATF created videos to help explain how school district funding works as well as how the district is using the Capital Levy funds approved by voters in 2020 and 2024.
